Knife Throwing Styles |
|
There are several knife throwing styles, described by experts. They differ only slightly, e.g. with the stance. The movement of the arm is always about the same. The greatest differences are about the grip.
You find knife throwing techniques described by experts at several websites and in many books. So it is not such a loss, if we do not repeate here again.
An excellent collection of various knife throwing styles, all nicely illustrated, you can find on Tim Valentine's Stickingpoint website at www.commonlogic.com / knife / throwing / throw.htm. Plus many grips, plus mechanics of throwing.
A specially powerful professional throw. Download the original video clip at Tim Valentine's Stickingpoint website
www.commonlogic.com / knife / throwing / pro / profess.htm.
A lazy amateur throw in comparison you can see in chapter "Step Four".
And here a somewhat more heavy device:
John Bailey, throwing a hawk. He has made a video tape on how to learn knife throwing fast, with simple and easy to remember advices. I recommend you his learning method, called the "Branch Chopping Method"
www.throwingknives.com.

Dummy for later use
(Dummy for picture to come) The only interesting thing in this unfinished picture is the throwing arm, which comes up in the front, and turns at the delivery position. This is the classic way, and this is the difference to what you will see in the next chapter.
