On the British islands are quite some axe throwing events conducted by a tool maker company. Lockerby is only one of several places for this.

The Choppers strike again! The Dollar Choppers triumphed again at at the Welsh Open Axe throwing competition. The event was staged at the Welsh Annual Woodfest held at St Asaph North Wales this weekend. Team members Giles Mercer, John Rodger, Philip Coles and talented new member Morag Patterson found that their intensive training on barbequed sirloin steak and copious real ale paid dividends winning the Team event in an exciting final against last years winners of the British open Team Xylodom from Dumfries. In the individual events Philip came first and Giles second and Morag first in the ladies making it a clean sweep for the choppers and a rush back to the beer tent to celebrate, sorry continue training. The team are looking forward to repeating their success at the Scottish open which is being held in Edinburgh next Saturday 14th June
