Just adding feathers to a knife to make it fly straight, this is a " straight forward" idea, you may easily have. Indeed, such thing was cultivated by the Irish warriors during the Roman times. Throwing technique is still needed, anyway.

This device stabilizes to a straight trajectory by the effect of the feathers in the rear - means by air friction and weight distribution. The front is additional made heavy. It is thrown similar to a dart, only with more power. Compare this to the "Spanish Dart", which also has a straight trajectory, but achieves this not by feathers, but by rotation around it's length axis (chapter   "Devices - List - Spanish Dart " ) .
