Metallurgy

If you are interrested in knifes, then you will be interrested in metall or vice versa.

If you work with knifes, you will notice different properties of different blades.

Some blades bend, others break.

Some knifes becomes dull, but are easy to sharpen. Others stay sharp for long, but are hard to sharpen.

This differences come from the different composition of the steel and from its exact treatment.

The submicroscopic world of crystallography explains and controls the properties of the individual metals.
