The meeting

It was quite as always on our meetings: throwing, eating, drinking, throwing, eating, drinking ... Again it was a fantastic experience, to meet that bunch of collegues. Such a nice and friendly beeing together! Everyone carrying knives and axes, and no one is bothered by this. An atmosphere you are missing the whole rest of the year.

The Contests

There were more than 25 participants, it was the biggest thrower's meeting in Europe at all until now. The contests were conducted straight forwardly and very disciplined, so that everything could be done on one day. The organization was again enhanced compared to the last years.

Holzfäller Jack. With his legendary axe long range throw, he did not start at 6 meter, as all others. He just went to 16 meter and ... whamm! His concurrents were shocked. None of them hoped for the first place any more.

A lady throwing long range with the huge Gränsfors double bladed. The movie shows her whole body bend back and forth, fully concentrated, to bring that heavy device on its trayectory. Real power!

Last not least

Many thanks
To Indianerchristian and his crew for prepearing and conducting this huge event so perfectly without earning anything. Imagine alone the shuffling and painting of the targets, the buildup of tents, the amount of buerocracy, the disturbance of the horses, the preparation of food and so on. There were surely 4 people working two days befor and two days after, to set up all this.

Greatest distance
This award goes to Michel, coming from Southwest France, and to Philippe with Sigrid and her mother, coming from Corsika.

Many thanks
To Sigrid, who served as a french translator at the foundation meeting. Without her help, it would have been impossible, to found such an international club.

Many thanks
To Michel and Andre for shooting and contributing all the photos.
